Apple software updates for Nov. 17

eMedia Music Corp., through its distribution agreement with iZotope, Inc., announced the release of iZotope’s new iDrum 1.7 Virtual Drum Machine software. The upgrade adds a drum machine for practicing, performing or recording.
Azure Talon Software has released iLaugh 1.1, a joke database for iPhone and iPod Touch. The upgrade sports minor bug fixes and user interface improvements.
Derman Enterprises has released Sync’Em 1.1, an update of the sync hub for Macs. It’s compatible with Mac OS X 10.4 and higher. Version 1.1 is a maintenance upgrade with some bug fixes and performance tweaks.
.com Solutions has released FmPro Migrator 4.4.5, an update of its stand-alone application that converts FileMaker databases to MySQL, Oracle, Access, SQL Server, Sybase, DB2, OpenBase, PostgreSQL and FrontBase. The upgrade includes a new FileMaker Pro to SQLite migration feature. It also includes a new FmPro Migrator preference file implementation and enhancements to Access database migrations.
Dockland Software has released Fantasktik 1.2, an update of the taskbar application for Mac OS X 10.5 (“Leopard”). It lets users see and switch between open windows and applications. Version 1.2 adds the ability to exclude applications from the bar. You can also now auto-hide or hide Fantasktik when selected applications are active. Additionally, version 1.2 offers better support of applications having windows open in different Spaces.
Oil Price Information Service (OPIS), a supplier of retail gasoline and diesel fuel pricing information, has upgraded iGasUp, its gas shopping service on the iPhone, allowing customers to search the closest and cheapest stations in a given area.
Second Gear has released Today 1.5, an update of the Mac OS X application for managing iCal events and tasks. Users can now add custom alarms to notify them of upcoming events and tasks. Today 1.5 also adds support for the popular notification framework, Growl.
TLA Systems has announced a new release (1.2) of the PCalc calculator for the iPhone and iPod touch. It’s available to download today from the Apple App Store for US$9.99. Version 1.2 includes an optional two-line display for use with the RPN mode, so you can see the first two items on the RPN stack.
The Dream Apps has released Dream Capture 2.3, an update to their video recording utility for Mac OS X. The upgrade is a major update including enhancements and bug fixes and is a recommended download for all customers.
Google has updated SketchUp to version 7.0. SketchUp is software that you can use to create 3D models of anything you like. The upgrade adds tools for power users, simplifies use and more.
The Portland Group has released PGI 8.0, an update of the compiling and development suite for Mac, Linux and Windows systems. The upgrade introduces support for the OpenMP 3.0 multi-core programming standard, which lets coders exploit multiple cores in C or Fortran.
