Apple software updates for Nov. 20

imageAdobe has introduced Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 4.0.1 software, an update to the professional video production solution. The upgrade includes more flexible, open workflows, native RED R3D support and faster performance.

SmileOnMyMac has updated DiscLabel, its CD/DVD label design software, to version 5.4. The upgrade adds 15 new free templates with designs for the holidays, gifts and business.

The Omni Group has released OmniFocus 1.5, a update to their advanced task management tool. It now offers synchronization between any number of OmniFocus for Mac and OmniFocus for iPhone databases via MobileMe or web server, or locally with Bonjour. A new Style preference pane offers many options for customizing the appearance of your OmniFocus data, and you can save and share style settings as theme files.

Also new to OmniFocus 1.5 are several built-in view presets in the default OmniFocus toolbar, for access to due items, flagged items, the inbox, and more. Other updates to OmniFocus 1.5 include a number of interface improvements, performance refinements, bug fixes, and the ability to archive completed or dropped items into a separate file.

The Omni Group has released version 5.1 of OmniGraffle, an upgrade of the Mac OS X diagramming application. update for the vector-based diagram design application improved Visio compatibility with support for the Enhanced MetaFile graphics format.

CTM Development has released a beta version of its PowerMail 6 email client for Mac OS X. IT offers support for styled text producing HTML-formatted messages, full mail database export to—and import from—Leopard’s Apple Mail and the ability to view PowerMail messages without the application launched within the Finder, Spotlight or FoxTrot Professional Search.
