2] – UGN Reports: George Engel Loves His 128k Mac & his Mac Pro
Prompted by a discussion during a recent visit to his local Apple Store in Orlando Florida, George Engel of the Lakeland User Group brought in his his 128k Mac and held an on-the-spot history session and presentation. A customer came in, saw the 25 year-old computer running all those great applications and decided that he needed a computer that reliable.

3] – TexMUG: iPhone Show and Tell
TexMUG, located at the University of Texas Health Science Center always has an interesting presentation in the works. While the group often has well-known presenters, some of their best presentations come from the group’s membership. November brings an iPhone Show and Tell session, where members show their favorite iPhone applications.

4] – LAFCPUG: Making a Showing at DV Expo
Michael Horton and the members of the Los Angeles Final Cut Pro User Group once again staged their unique brand of infotainment and education inside the LA Convention Center as part of the annual DV Expo in Los Angeles. Great tips and training, expert video footage and their “World Famous Raffle” with thousands of dollars in prizes make this a must-attend event at each DV Expo.

5] – Apple Dag: Join Klokhuis on December 13.
The Dutch word for core is klokhuis and the AUG Klokhuis user group is the core of all things Apple in the Netherlands. In December they will celebrate with an “AppleDay,” a popular event regularly sponsored by Klokhuis.
Along with the normal program – meeting point, lectures, wireless network, workshops etc. – Apple Dag offers a tombola with fantastic prizes.

6] – Mac Users UK: Promoting User Groups in the UK and Ireland
For the last four years, Mac Users UK has held a photo contest that is open to all interested photographers. The hook?
