Tandberg has releasd a new version of its Content Server that enables sharing of video through Apple’s iTunes U and integrates with Podcast Producer—a feature of Mac OS X Server—allowing users to send recorded video content for further editing, publishing and distribution to any blog or Apple device with just one click.

Now, anyone using a standards-compliant video conferencing endpoint to record content, such as an educational lecture or a training seminar, can convert the recording into a format compatible with iTunes for automatic upload to iTunes U, instantly making it available for viewing and sharing, says Tandberg CEO Fredrik Halvorsen. Other new features of the Tandberg Content Server include:

° RSS feeds—users subscribe to their preferred type of content in the Content Server;

° A share feature—users can share a video recording directly from the conference library by providing a link to the post for publishing and copying;

° A play options button—users can choose their preferred bandwidth to watch a recording without compromising the processing power of their computer.
